As part of its mission to provide quality education for employment in a globally diverse job market through innovative, active and experiential teaching and disciplined student learning, the Jesse H. Jones School of Business (JHJ) is pleased to have enrolled a premier cohort of 73 working professionals and executives at the supervisory and mid-management level in its new Online Executive MBA Program (eMBA). The inaugural class represents over 30 companies; such as, ExxonMobil, Marathon Oil, Halliburton, KBR, BP, GDF Suez Energy, Centerpoint Energy, CITGO, Southwestern Energy, and National Oil Varco.
The JHJ eMBA program is the only MBA program in Houston that explores relevant issues and challenges faced by management in the energy sector. The 36-credit hour, online program is designed to meet the challenging needs of mid-career professionals who wish to pursue an MBA degree with the least possible disruption to their professional and personal lives. Over the duration of two-years, students will participate in six 10-week course modules and engage in a number of executive lectures and networking opportunities, some include an energy finance lecture and tour at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, Houston Branch in October and an annual golf tournament in November.
“We are excited about this inaugural eMBA class. This is a great opportunity for the School to enhance corporate executives around the world. The skills and knowledge these students will acquire will prepare them for personal and career success.” says Dr. Joseph L. Boyd, Dean of the Jesse H. Jones School of Business.
The eMBA program will begin accepting applications for the Fall 2010 admissions cycle in January 2010. More information about the program is available at www.tsu.edu/emba.
