Mission Statement
The mission of the Customer Service division of the Facilities Department is to provide new standards of excellence in the performance of PBX and Dispatch Operations, which will assist everyone who enters works or studies at Texas Southern University. We believe that timely performance is essential to customer satisfaction. We will strive to perform all work to specifications and within allotted time to meet or exceed our customer’s requirements.

If you have a request for work, please feel free to emal it to the dispatchers at dispatch@tsu.edu. The dispatechers can also be reached during business hours at 713-313-7090. Requests and supporting information can be faxed to 713-313-7091. Please be sure to provide the following information in your emailed, telephoned, or faxed request:

  • Your full name
  • The building where the request needs to be done
  • The room number or location of the request
  • Your TSU telehone extension
  • A brief, but clear description of your request

The Customer Service Division supports the entire campus community through the following operations:

  • PBX Direct internal and external calls to the appropriate individuals, Departments and /or Call Center through-out the University in a timely and professional manner
  • PBX Gives telephone usage instruction to the internal user
  • Dispatch Processes and directs TMA service requests to the proper craft via TMA On-line System, walk-ups, and/or telephone
  • Dispatch Tracking of work order requests
  • Dispatch Training end user on placing on-line work requests
  • TMA Administration Monitors and trains on proper and effective use of the TMA System
